Chosen is an intimate and radical documentary that chronicles the Black Trans Family Reunion (BTFR), a sanctuary and retreat held in New Orleans in 2025. Envisioned and organized by Producer Ace Xavier, the gathering was created by and for Black Trans people to foster hold space, feed us, ensure our safety, record our stories, and deepen our ever powerful existences during a time when their lives are actively at stake.
